What You'll Do:

As a counselor at ACTS, you will be a vital part of helping our clients heal. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing high-quality individual, group, couples, or family counseling.
  • Conducting assessments, creating diagnoses, and developing personalized treatment plans.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation using our electronic health record system.
  • Managing your calendar and helping clients with scheduling as needed.
  • Upholding the highest standards of client confidentiality in line with HIPAA and professional ethics.
  • Corresponding with clients and collaborating with others involved in their care.
  • Building and maintaining your caseload through consistent and timely outreach to clients.
  • Collaborating and networking with other professionals.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to your clients as needed.

What You Bring to the Team:

We are looking for a self-starter who is knowledgeable, skilled, and passionate about helping others.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Deep knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and trauma-informed treatment.
  • Proficiency with the DSM for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable using computers, electronic health records, and related software.
  • A compassionate and sensitive approach to diversity and the unique experiences of each client.
  • The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with clients and colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited university.
  • A current, unrestricted Texas license to practice independently (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, or PhD).
  • Fully licensed to practice independently in Texas and eligible to be credentialed with insurance panels.

Preferences

  • EMDR and/or Brainspotting training or certification or a plan to get these trainings. These are highly sought after in our practice.

Details

  • Pay - Full time positions can range from $60 to $100k based on education, experience, certification, and the number of clients you see.
  • Caseload - Full time = 25 clients per week
  • Benefits - We offer availability to employee funded benefits (health, dental, vision) and a very flexible schedule but we do not offer paid time off or sick time at this time.
