Director of Admissions

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Admissions to lead and inspire our admissions team. This role is critical in driving enrollment growth, ensuring exceptional student experiences, and maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards. The ideal candidate will bring proven success in admissions management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate Admissions Representatives and support staff.
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development planning.
  • Identify and mentor future admissions leaders.
  • Admissions Performance & Compliance
  • Ensure the team consistently meets enrollment and performance goals.
  • Evaluate calls and interviews regularly, providing actionable feedback.
  • Monitor inbound calls, lead flow, and front desk activity to ensure proper handling.
  • Maintain compliance with admissions standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Manage staffing schedules to ensure full coverage during operating hours.
  • Review, analyze, and report admissions metrics, forecasts, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Financial Aid and campus executives to optimize the enrollment process.
  • Monitor public reviews and mystery shops, ensuring quick response and quality improvement.
  • Marketing & Outreach
  • Partner with the Marketing team to plan and implement local initiatives.
  • Organize and lead campus events such as open houses, orientations, and information sessions.
  • Ensure consistent, professional, and effective communication with prospective students and applicants.
  • Culture & Professionalism
  • Lead daily stand-ups and weekly team meetings to foster alignment and motivation.
  • Uphold and enforce a professional, student-focused, and ethical admissions culture.
  • Serve as a visible, approachable leader across campus.

Qualifications

  • Experience : Minimum of 4 years in direct enrollment management with a proven admissions track record (for-profit admissions experience strongly preferred).
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies :
  • Demonstrated expertise in enrollment management practices.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and implementation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • High integrity, business acumen, and analytical ability.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., CampusVue) and MS Office Suite.
